Facility The Port of Corpus Christi Cold Storage is a state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. ft (9290 sq. meters) refrigerated facility located on the Gulf of Mexico. We serve many import and export markets of North America, Mexico, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Russia. With our on-dock location, excellent rail and U.S. Interstate Highway connections, the Port of Corpus Christi is the ideal location to handle your entire storage and distribution needs.
We pride ourselves in being a full-service operation, providing everything from blast freezing, repacking and warehousing to national and international distribution. Our three rooms, two of which can be converted to chill space from -20 °F, and enclosed, temperature-controlled rail, truck, and ship docks allow for quick, effecient transport. With a newly installed inventory and tracking system and online information access for our customers, we are able to provide better service at lower costs. Our latest initiative is to install a new radio frequency system that will allow us to scan for automated cargo via bar coding corresponding in accurate and timely transfer of product information.
Our ability to transport your products by ship, rail, and truck make us the best facility on the Gulf of Mexico. Our warehouse is located less than 60-feet from our dock. Sailing time is only 2 hours to the Gulf of Mexico. We are also served by three on-dock railroads: Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Union Pacific Railroad, and Texas-Mexican Railway. Our 12 truck docks allow for easy loading/unloading of products. Access to US I-37 and US Hwy 181 are less than 1 mile away.
Our
facility is USDA approved for export and ID Service, FSIS-USDA
Poultry Export Certification to Russia and USDA approved as a
meat inspection facility. Furthermore, we are customs
bonded,
contain USDA-MID certification rooms, and are approved
for storage and delivery on Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
The
Port of Corpus Christi Cold Storage is located within the Port's
Foreign Trade Zone No.
122 which helps streamline U.S. Customs paperwork and allows companies
to reduce, defer or avoid duties on imports. We have also enhanced
our security measures with 24-hour surveillance and on-guard duty
as well as local Coast Guard patrol.
